Leave the outside world behind for a moment and come with me to Scotland, Cornwall, Northern Ireland and more . . .
WELCOME! I’m so glad you could join me!
Feel like a wee wander ‘Across the Pond’? We’re on the same page!
I invite you to put the kettle on for a nice cuppa, sit back, and let me take you to some of my favourite UK spots and sights as you have a gander around my site.
Who knows . . . you might even discover an image that “just NEEDS to be in your space rather than mine!”

"Embracing her Scottish and Celtic roots, Jan's work perfectly portrays the rustic beauty of the country and it's culture...Jan's skill in depicting the true character and atmosphere of Scotland will be obvious..."

It feels important to share what is uplifting, grounding and inspirational in each of our lives....for me, this is it:
the sights and sounds of the landscapes, coastlines and cultures my ancestors left behind long ago.
US subjects are here also, including a major commission series successfully completed!
I am a fine artist and fiddler specializing in Scottish and UK subjects and tunes.
Strong influences in my gene pool have led me to work to honor not only my own, but a large sector of the world population's visceral connection to the culture, landscape and history of Scotland and it's Celtic neighbours.
You will find original paintings, open- and limited- edition prints, and fine art cards to enjoy online, and for purchase and sharing.
Be sure to click on 'ARCHIVED WORKS' at the bottom of each portfolio section to fully access reproductions of collected works.
“Just painting a subject is rarely enough for me—it’s got to have substance! I want to know background ...history … what makes it appeal to me enough to want to take to time to focus and make a painting.”
-J. Clizer
